Sour Cream Cornbread

Ingredients

  • 1 cup yellow cornmeal
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1 tablespoon baking powder
  • 1 cup cream style corn
  • 1 cup sour cream or sour half and half
  • 2/3 cup butter or margarine melted
  • 2 eggs beaten
  • 1/4 lb. Cheddar cheese grated
  • 1 -4 ounce can diced green chili

Instructions

  • Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Stir together cornmeal, salt, and baking powder. Add corn, sour cream, melted butter, eggs, cheese, and chili. Stir until well blended. Pour into greased 9 inch square baking dish and bake for one hour. Serves 6 to 9.
