Pecan Bars (2)

Ingredients

  • 1 cup butter
  • 1 cup sugar
  • 1 egg yolk
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla
  • 2 cups flour

Instructions

  • Cream together the butter, sugar, and egg yolk. Add the remaining ingredients. Spread in jelly roll pan (maybe 9x13). Brush with egg white, sprinkle with 1/2 to 1 cup chopped pecans. Bake at 300 degrees for 30 minutes (longer up to 45 minutes if you want them crisp). Cut and remove from pan while they are hot.
