Lime Pear Salad
Ingredients
- 1 - 3 oz. pkg lime jello
- 1 - 29 oz. can pears
- 1 - 8 oz. pkg cream cheese
- 1 - 8 oz. carton Cool Whip 2 c.
Instructions
- Drain pear juice and add water to make 2 cups. Bring to boil and add lime jello. Set until semi-stiff. In blender, blend pears and add softened cream cheese. Add jello and blend. Fold in Cool Whip--Pour into 9x13 pan.

NOTES : Karen says this is a holiday standard. Lisa's favorite salad and Kevin hates it, just ask him. Albuquerque Rudeens traditionally have this with their St. Patricks day dinner. Justin and Christopher Maxson's favorite holiday salad. Justin always makes the first scoop out of the center followed by Christopher, Steven, Todd, and Suzy making individual divots. Makes for a lot of laughs and strange looks from any guest other than family who isn't aware of the tradition.
