Lebanese Green Beans

Ingredients

  • 1 small onion chopped
  • 1 pound green beans fresh or frozen
  • 6 ounces tomato paste
  • 1/2 teaspoon sugar
  • salt and pepper to taste
  • 18 ounces chicken broth or water

Instructions

  • Sauté onion in olive oil until tender.
  • Add beans and tomato paste; sauté 10 minutes.
  • Add 3 cans chicken broth or water; simmer 45 minutes.
  • Serve over Lebanese rice.

I could make a meal out of this. what a great way to make green beans taste good!
