Karen's Chili

Ingredients

  • 1 pound ground beef
  • 1/2 medium onion chopped
  • 1 tablespoon chili powder
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1/4 teaspoon pepper
  • 1/8 teaspoon cumin
  • 1 tablespoon vinegar
  • 1 large can tomato sauce
  • 1 large can pinto beans
  • 2 cups water

Instructions

  • Brown ground beef and onion, drain off fat. Add vinegar and seasonings. Add tomato sauce, and water. Simmer over low heat about 30 minutes. To thicken, put ΒΌ cup flour in jar and add one cup of water; cover and shake well. Pour into chili (through a strainer to catch any lumps) and heat through.

Notes

Double the recipe and save some for tomorrow - it improves with age! This is a mild chili.
