Egg Casserole

Ingredients

  • 8 eggs separated
  • 8 slices white bread cubed
  • 1 cup Cheddar cheese grated
  • 2 cups milk
  • 1 stick butter

Instructions

  • Separate eggs and beat whites until stiff. Add a little salt. Beat yolks and add a little salt and pepper. Add milk to yolks and mix thoroughly. Fold in whites.
  • Put bread cubes in bottom of oblong casserole. Melt butter and mix with bread cubes. Place cheese on top and then add egg mixture.
  • Refrigerate over-night.
  • Bake at 350ยบ for 45 minutes.

Notes

Add chopped ham, bacon, and/or green chile to take it up a notch.
I got this recipe from my mother-in-law. It is great because you put it together ahead of time and it is delicious.
