Baked Brie

Ingredients

  • 3 tablespoons pecans or almonds coarsely chopped
  • 1 Brie small round
  • 1 tablespoon butter or margarine
  • 1 1/2 teaspoons parsley flakes
  • 2 Peppridge Farm pastry shells

Instructions

  • Thaw pastry shells according to package directions and roll out.
  • Sauté nuts in butter with parsley flakes until toasted.
  • Place brie on top of pastry shell. Top with toasted nuts. Push edges of pastry shell up. Place remaining pastry shell on top, pushing edges down. Seal edges.
  • Bake at 450º for 10 minutes. Decrease temperature to 350º and bake for 20 minutes.
  • Let set 30 minutes before serving. Serve with crackers.

This recipe is from my mother-in-law. it’s a simple but nice appetizer.
