Egg Casserole

Add chopped ham, bacon, and/or green chile to take it up a notch.
I got this recipe from my mother-in-law. It is great because you put it together ahead of time and it is delicious.

Ingredients
  

  • 8 eggs separated
  • 8 slices white bread cubed
  • 1 cup Cheddar cheese grated
  • 2 cups milk
  • 1 stick butter

Instructions
 

  1. Separate eggs and beat whites until stiff. Add a little salt. Beat yolks and add a little salt and pepper. Add milk to yolks and mix thoroughly. Fold in whites.
  2. Put bread cubes in bottom of oblong casserole. Melt butter and mix with bread cubes. Place cheese on top and then add egg mixture.
  3. Refrigerate over-night.
  4. Bake at 350ยบ for 45 minutes.
