Butterscotch

Ingredients
  

  • 1/2 cup butter
  • 1 cup sugar
  • 1 cup white corn syrup
  • pinch soda
  • 1 teaspoon vinegar
  • 2 teaspoon vanilla

Instructions
 

  1. Boil until hard crack stage (290 degrees). Remove from fire and add vanilla. Pour into buttered tine (9×9). As it begins to cool score it deeply with a table knife into 1 inch squares so that when it's cool it will break easily. Never use oleo.
