Baked Brie

This recipe is from my mother-in-law. it’s a simple but nice appetizer.

Ingredients
  

  • 3 tablespoons pecans or almonds coarsely chopped
  • 1 Brie small round
  • 1 tablespoon butter or margarine
  • 1 1/2 teaspoons parsley flakes
  • 2 Peppridge Farm pastry shells

Instructions
 

  1. Thaw pastry shells according to package directions and roll out.
  2. Sauté nuts in butter with parsley flakes until toasted.
  3. Place brie on top of pastry shell. Top with toasted nuts. Push edges of pastry shell up. Place remaining pastry shell on top, pushing edges down. Seal edges.
  4. Bake at 450º for 10 minutes. Decrease temperature to 350º and bake for 20 minutes.
  5. Let set 30 minutes before serving. Serve with crackers.
