Peanut Blossom Cookies

A traditional Christmas cookie from when the kids were young.
Ingredients Instructions

Ingredients
  

  • 1/2 cup shortening
  • 1/2 cup peanut butter
  • 1/2 cup white sugar
  • 1/2 cup brown sugar
  • 2 cups flour
  • 1 teaspoon soda
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1 tablespoon milk
  • 1 egg
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla
  • 1 package Hershey kisses

Instructions
 

  1. Place all ingredients (except kisses) in a bowl. Mix well. Roll by teaspoonfuls into balls. Roll in sugar. Bake for 10-12 minutes at 375 degrees. Remove from oven and press a Hershey candy kiss into each cookie.
