Ingredients
  

  • 3 cups flour sifted
  • 2 teaspoons baking powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 cup shortening
  • 1/2 cup butter or oleo
  • 1 1/4 cups sugar
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla
  • 1 egg
  • 1 tablespoon milk

Instructions
 

  1. Sift flour, measure, sift with baking powder and salt. Cream shortening and butter with sugar. Add vanilla, egg, and milk. Beat thoroughly. Add flour. Mix. Chill. Roll 1/8 inch thick. Bake at 375 degrees for 8-10 minutes.
