Tastee Sandwich

Mary Maxson
When Don and Vivian were in college at the good old UN, Tastee Burger was their favorite place for a study break.

Ingredients

  • 4 ounces catsup
  • 3 heaping teaspoons prepared mustard
  • 3 heaping teaspoons Silver Springs cream style horseradish
  • 3 level teaspoons Worcestershire Sauce
  • 5 heaping teaspoons salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon pepper
  • 5 pounds ground beef 90% lean
  • 1 cup warm water
  • 1 cup yellow onion
  • 1 heaping teaspoon Accent seasoning mix

Instructions

  1. Mix the first 6 ingredients. This should come to 1 cup. If not, then add more catsup. Place beef in flat bottom pan. Poor seasoning over ground beef. Add water, onion and Accent. Stir constantly for 15 minutes on low heat or until meat is broken apart. Then increase heat until it comes to a boil. Let boil for 25 minutes, stirring every few minutes to avoid sticking to bottom of pan and to avoid lumps.
