Pecan Bars (1)

Ingredients
  

  • 1 cup butter
  • 1 cup sugar
  • 1 egg yolk
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla
  • 2 cups flour

Instructions
 

  1. Cream together the butter, sugar and egg yolk. Add the remaining ingredients. Spread in jelly roll pan (may 9×13). Brush with egg white, sprinkle with 1/2 to 1 cup chopped pecans. Bake at 300ยบ for 30 minutes (longer-up to 45 minutes) if you want them crisp. Cut and remove from pan while they are hot.
