Monkey Bread

This recipe comes from Mary Maxson (Betty’s sister).
Janna and Michelle Alsbrooks–It’s not Christmas unless there’s Monkey Bread to eat while opening gifts.

Ingredients
  

  • 4 tubes baking powder biscuits
  • cinnamon and sugar mixed together
  • 1/2 cup nuts optional
Sauce:
  • 1 cup white sugar
  • 3/4 cup butter stick
  • 1/2 teaspoons cinnamon

Instructions
 

  1. Cut each biscuit into 4 pieces. Shake the pieces in the cinnamon-sugar mixture until coated. Stack each piece on top of each other in a tube or bundt pan. Sprinkle nuts over top. Bring to a boil: white sugar, butter and cinnamon. Pour over the pieces in the pan and bake 40-50 minutes at 350ยบ. Let set 5 minutes then remove from pan.
