Homemade Ice Cream

This recipe comes from Edith Johnson (Lawrence Rudeen’s sister).

Ingredients
  

  • 4 eggs beaten
  • 2 cups sugar
  • 4 cups heavy cream
  • 2 tablespoons vanilla
  • dash of salt

Instructions
 

  1. Beat the eggs and sugar together very well. Add the heavy cream, vanilla and salt. Put mixture in ice cream freezer. Add milk to about 1 1/2 inches from the top. Freeze as normal.
