Grandma Rudeen’s Pepparkakor (Spice Cookies)
I first made this recipe for my wedding reception “smorgasbord”. I roll out the dough with a rolling pin and then use fun Christmas cookie cutters. However, Florence recently informed me that Grandma used the method above.

Instructions
- Cream together butter and sugar. Add syrup and egg. Add dry ingredients. Chill dough. Form dough into a log and slice thin. Bake at 350ยบ for 8 to 10 minutes.
